As most would say, Toronto is one of the most diverse cities in Canada. It invites new innovation and always willing to hop on new trends, especially in the food sector. People from all over the world come to Toronto to try the millions of different kinds of combinations of food. With so many different districts, each representing different cultures of the world, Torontonians are constantly ready to try something new everyday. So when tourists stop by this dynamic city, there are so many places to explore. Here are a few of my favorite, most creative food hot spots that are perfect for people who want to try something different!

1. Rolltation

207 Dundas Street West

There are quite a lot of sushi restaurants, as well of burrito stalls in downtown Toronto. But if you want to try something new and unique, why not a sushi burrito? This perfect blend of Mexican and Japanese culture combines fresh vegetables with the protein you’d find in sushi, all rolled up in rice and seaweed, forming the shape of a burrito! One of the most famous places you can go to grab this amazing fusion is a small place called Rolltation. Rolltation is located at the heart of downtown Toronto, steps away from ChinaTown and Yonge and Dundas Square. This cute spot is a perfect place to go for a quick lunch take-out with a few seats that face out onto Dundas street where you can admire the busy street life. You know it's consistently fresh since they make it right in front of you and it's 100% customization allows you to put whatever on it to make it your own. Along with their signature sushi burritos, they offer sushi poke and sushi salads with all the same ingredients except for the seaweed wrap. This convenient location always attracts all types of folks as they pass by this vibrant restaurant on their commutes of the day.

2. The Dirty Bird

79 Kensington Avenue

If you're feeling like having breakfast and lunch in the same meal, The Dirty Bird is the ideal place to go satisfy those cravings. Nestled inside Kensington Market, The Dirty Bird is best known for their famous waffle and chicken dish, attracting locals from all over Toronto to try this new craze. With a light, fluffy waffle topped with a perfectly crisp chicken thigh, it’s a splendid mix for anytime of the day. In addition, this pub-like restaurant serves many other delicious options including poutine, fries, wings and their unique waffle sandwich for dessert. Since most ingredients are sourced locally, you know everything here is quality. This restaurant has a very urban vibe with its neutral tones, wood counters and industrial stools. It's the perfect place to stop and relax for a casual meal after a long day exploring Toronto.

3. Peace Treats

131 Ossington Avenue

For all those sweet lovers out there, Toronto is the place to be, with an array of different places to choose from. One of the best milkshake hot spots is found at the most unlikely of places, inside the very innovative Peace Collective clothing store. Peace Treats recently opened up in September 2016 and ever since, gained a huge amount of exposure on Instagram. These cute gourmet milkshakes are like no other as they are topped with candy, whip cream, and other extravagant toppings to make these milkshakes a work of art in themselves. Also offered if you aren't feeling like a cold drink, are specialty hot chocolates topped with marshmallows, graham crackers and chocolate drizzle. In addition, they serve Lattes, Mochas, Americanos to start off your day right. The founder of Peace Collective and Peace Treats wanted to add something different that was not found anywhere else, and in the process, attract more customers to their store. This exclusive stall is wonderful for family and friends to go to for a delicious snack and a superb Instagram photo.
