I had to escape the cold from Canada, so why not take a short flight to one of the most vibrant cities in America? And why not do it on a budget? Here are some FREE things to see and do in this exciting city.
Miami is known for being a cosmopolitan hotspot for celebrities and high-class clients. It is filled with exotic restaurants, five-star hotels, upscale spas, luxury shopping destinations and lavish nightclubs. However, there are plenty of other things you can do in Miami that won’t cost you much!
With so many inexpensive activities to do, this city has become one of the most popular vacation spots in America. Miami is a city for people of all ages and offers tons of variety. So whether your planning your next family vacation, or a girls weekend, Miami is a must!
Strolling through the beautiful neighborhoods of Miami is totally free and entertaining, especially in the perfect weather. To see the impressive artwork and graffiti around the city, check out the Wynwood Walls, the Art Deco District in South Beach, and Calle Ocho St. in Little Havana. Areas such as the Design District, Coral Gables, Ocean Drive and Downtown Miami have some intriguing architecture of buildings to look at. Coral Gables, known as “the city beautiful,” has some stunning collections of Mediterranean Revival architecture. It is also the home of the Venetian Pool, a historic public swimming pool that’s considered one of the most beautiful swimming pools in the world.
If you are staying in Miami for a week or more, there are so many activities you can do for free. Check out of one of the many museums that offer free admission on certain days of the week. Or go watch a free movie or concert on the lawn of SoundScape at New World Center. There are even free yoga and workout classes around Miami that you can take advantage of. And don’t forget about the beach, which are all free to use. Transportation is even free in most areas of Miami such as the Metromover, a free mass train system, and the free trolley system, located in the popular tourist neighborhoods.
